I am handeling about 800-1000 leads currently. Between 70 and 80 units monthly. We're kind of at a stand still though on growth as my dealer keeps wanting to change the process.

For you guys with "e-sales" staff, how do you have them set up? i.e. on the floor off the floor?

They always tell me what process "I" should use. However the commitment is never there from all parties involved.

The best results I have had is with a BDC/Internet team calling on our leads to appoint them. We have never dropped below an 8.5% closing ratio in 2 years and our average closing ratio for 2009 was 11.47%. However our GSM and dealer want to keep tinkering with the process since January, so the results have been all over the board this year.

I should also make note that our gross is ALWAYS good usually in line with or even above that of the stores average. The only month that gross profit dropped was when I was assigned 3 sales staff to work the leads with.

That is how Honda is in many places. My background is Honda. I used to run an department in NJ at a Honda store. 500 leads got me 65-70 units with a solid process, 4 internet sales people, and myself involved 100% of the time. At 683 leads you should be at 65-70 units.

what are some good lead providers you suggest? we use edmunds, autobytel, cars.com, autotrader, costco, aaa, golden one credit union, blackbook, kbb, photoad, craigslist and social media. we are wanting more leads. right now we get about 200 leads and sell 40 with 2 internet people.
Thank you all,

I am launching Vinsolutions and Responselogix tmrw. I strongly believe that the new systems will increase productivity over night. Southern CA has always had many competitors in the back yard with in 60 miles I have over 20. The first to respond usually gets the sale after a connection has been made.
