This has been covered a million times I'm sure. I hate asking for further input but I've never really concerned myself with them until now. After reading an interview with the CEO, I'm starting to have concerns. Is this common? What do dealers think about TrueCar? Friend? Foe? Please post your thoughts. I think it's time for me to chime in on the discussion but I want to get some feedback from the industry first. Thank you in advance for your comments.

I'd be interested to hear the thoughts of those involved at the retail level - internet managers and the like. The recent policy changes coming from TrueCar have me questioning whether we can continue to use them as a viable lead source. The strongarm tactics they are using to force us out of the game (anonymized email addresses, this continued push for their "customer engagement system") are starting to make me sweat.

By the same token, they comprise a major portion of my sales. The dealers who don't work with them are few and far between (and dying.)

I tried using their leads for a few months some time back.  I quit because of the poor results.  I'm an independent so my opinion may be different than a franchised dealer, but after reading the interview you mentioned True Car appears predatory rather than supportive of their dealer/partners.
