Make someone smile that is a minimum wage person, someone who is works at the local grocery store, gas station, dry cleaners, maybe a waitress. Someone who works hard and rarely hears a word of appreciation. Find something nice to say about them; maybe it is their smile, appearance or their friendliness. Look for nothing in return, just to make them smile and brighten up their day. Do it with sincerity, as flattery is false and people can see through it.

Afterwards ask yourself this question; “How does that make you feel?”

You are absolutely correct! (this isn't about me, it's just an example) I walked in this morning and saw one of the mechanics arriving at the same time. I said "good morning Mike. I'm glad you're here today". He looked at me and said "good morning" back. Then he said "Thanks. That's the nicest thing anyone has said to me in the last 2 weeks".
(I think it) made him feel good. Sure made me feel good.
