GenY Buyers are Unlike Previous Generations!

This new Generation of buyers 80 million strong are rapidly becoming the largest driving force in the market place. They require different selling interaction than previous Generations. 

NADA has a workshop and Booth at Digital Dealer that will talk to these points for anyone attending. We have compiled a great deal of data and done consumer research to help dealers better understand these buyers and their habits. 

Here are a few thought starters:

1. 1 in 4 vehicles sold in the next two years will be sold or leased to this generation.

2. Gen Y buyers will recommend dealers who offer them good showroom  

     experiences even if they don't purchase.

3.Transparency is critical to success with Gen Y

4.Trust is established with validation.

5.Gen Y'ers are natives of the data world we all live in today.

How did anything else work in the past?  10 years in the business is not a long time, and so I am curious how it was in the good old days of selling cars.  I would have thought that consumers 20 years ago would have wanted the same things.  I would love to read more about the expectations of buyers from the pre-virtual showroom days.
