When advertising promote your people and your company will make more money .

 People like to be noticed for a job well done. When you advertise promote your people by putting there picture on the net or in the news paper along with there accomplishments. Congratulations to Mr Smith for new car salesman of the month. used car salesmen of the month leasing , truck sales,  top producer and any technician that won a award , most improved and so on.                                                                                                                                             This cost peanuts for what you get back. People will talk about the employees and the company will reap the rewards from this.  The attitude of the people will sky rocket because this shows you care. A company never sold anything. People do all the selling. Have all the sales reps picture in the show room and do the same for the techs in the service department . If you have someone that has been with you for 20 years put it up with there picture. People will notice and the company will increase sales. Promote your people and the company will increase sales. Guaranteed.

Here is another way to promote your people that they appreciate. The first Monday of every month have a 15 minute meeting with ALL employees.                                                                                                             Have a Birthday cake, juice, donuts, fruit , coffee and so on. Announce all Birthdays that are in that month. Anyone who just had a baby, anniversary on how many years a person has been with your dealership and employee of the month.                                                                                                                                 Anyone who has sent a customer in and takes delivery of a car for the previous month gets a spin on the wheel of fortune. This goes from $50 to $500.  This causes excitement.                                                        At the end the owner or GM tells everyone how much they are appreciated. This gets everyone to know each other and they work better as a team. This cost less than $100 to do. Attitude is better and this slows down turnover. Promote your people and they will love you for it.

Ditto Fran!  Promoting people you're proud to have as teammates is easy to do.  The pride it creates is priceless! Thanks for mentioning the value of appreciating your staff.  Great post Fran.
