I am a salesperson that is starting out and was married to a Joe Verde Sales Trainer for over 24 years. I am successfully selling cars in a male dominated industry. I find being a woman in this profession is rare and I have information and ideas that are working. I want to learn and help others learn.

SALE BY TEXT...?

Posted on November 11, 2011 at 3:00pm 2 Comments

A "twenty something" couple came into the dealership on Tuesday.  Great kids...I follwed the steps of the sale and landed her on the perfect car.  We negociated and came to an agreement.  My finance manager was off that day, so the desk manager ran the credit and decided that my customer needed a cosigner and sent them packing!  I thought about it all night long.  On Wednesday, I went to the desk manager and asked him if I could have a look at the deal jacket.  He said, "Did you get the…

I am a female salesperson trying to make a living in the Automotive Business.  I find myself doing well at disarming customers and now I'm working on holding gross in the deals I do.  I'm not afraid to ask for the sale but keeping control is a little more difficult with a dominant customer...any ideas?
