the best advice you can get is to "never give up, never surrender..."
Do whatever Craig says....( with passion) Its really that simple, after almost 7 years that still works for me.
FORGET HOW MUCH MONEY YOU THINK YOU ARE GOING TO MAKE AND TRAIN FOR THE PASSION OF IT. Make your students better and the money will magically take care of itself.

....you area great example Paul....thank you

...so right Bob..."Do what you do better than anyone else does it and somebody will find a way to pay you to do it"

...you know Jim that is so important I have experienced some trainers I have come across in my life that just kind of "love em and leave em"....a true pro takes an ongoing interest in the result of their initial effort with the person they trained.

All good answers for sure, you guys make it really hard for me to come up with something. How about stay in weekly contact with your students? Coach them weekly. Maybe discuss with them on one deal that was not sold (find out what shortcut they may have taken) and let them share with you their success stories. Have them text you or call you everytime they sell a vehicle.
Be enthusiastic ... enthusiasm is transferable and infectious. Eat well, exercise and get plenty of sleep. Dr. Amen, Physiologist, tells us that the brain consumes 30% of the calories we consume. So take care of it ...you will need all of it to keep the Dealer and students on track :)
First of all,you can only train someone to be the salesman that you were, other wise,it's just words. Also,if you find yourself in a negative conversation, ask yourself one question, how much money is this making me?In order to retain, you must train! ARTHUR BUSH!
Your starting your own business, how successful and rewarding it will be is directly related to the amount of effort and "heart" you put into it. It just like we tell our students, a career is something you work on and build and so it is with this.
The best trainers DO NOT stand in front of their "class" and TELL. Get the class involved. The more you can get the trainee's to participate, the better the trainer and the training will be.
Keep learning, never take time off from it, keep perfecting your craft. The moment you stop learning, the moment you stop growing is the moment you should retire.

Remember: He who knows everything knows nothing...
