Permalink Reply by Craig Darling on June 15, 2011 at 11:08am In Arizona where the dealerships run to the larger size (15 acres or so not to include storage lots for more inventory.) the monthly budget is about 5000 month. This includes landscape, lights, sweeping the lot and signs / flags.
There are some who use hourly employees. After the dump charges and equipment usage / rental it still comes to about the same, perhaps a little more.
In some of the towns there are requirements for trees... and this raises the costs... you have to wash the cars on the lot more often.

Permalink Reply by Richard Emmons on June 15, 2011 at 12:08pm I talked to a Ford Dealer in NH They spend on the average $ 3,800 a month for just yard care and cleaning. In the winter it does not change much due to plowing and salt for Ice. Very small store.
A friend of Mine here in Florida told me he has in the budget $6,000 for just outside aesthetics, Mowing and tree & flower care. Janitorial is $3,200 Once a year also spends $5,500 on top of that for an arborist.
A good size dealership in MD spends $2,500 a month just on mowing grass, $7,500 on restrooms, janitorial for show room offices and shop. $1,600 on dumpster's. So that is $11,600
