The world of paid search is never boring especially when Google has been testing new paid "ad units" for the automotive industry.
I wrote last month about the Google Advisor product (aka Google Cars) and now Google is testing an ad unit that includes LIVE CHAT powered by ActiveEngage.…

If you haven't noticed, about 14% of dealership website visitorsare coming on mobile devices with another 5% on tablets. Your numbers may vary slightly but dealers would be remiss if they did not take mobile shoppers seriously.
Google searches done on mobile phones have a different urgency compared to searches done on mobile devices. How do I know this?…

Google announced yesterday via its blog, that it had instituted a feature in Google search and GMail ad transparency. I've been seeing the Google +1 button appearing on more and more websites since it was released a few months ago. Recently, I've even seen it as an option for paid search ads.
If I perform a search while signed into my Google account, the +1 button appears as a part of the actual PPC ad.
This seems to be the exact same thing as giving users…

One of the SEO sites that I frequently read (www.searchengineland.com) has a VERY interesting post by a reader, LebSEO Design's Wissam Dandan. He has found examples of Google Adwords ads appearing at the bottom of the page for some searches.

It is almost hard to comprehend how fast mobile Internet usage is growing. According to Google, more smartphones were sold last year than PCs. It's predicted that 50% of Americans will have a smartphone by the end of the year and that there will be 10 billion mobile Internet devices in 2012, up from the 2 billion that are activated today. A child is more likely to own a cell phone than a book!
How is that going to impact the car buying experience and your online strategy? …

The +1 button which has been added to organic search results is now coming to your Adwords campaign. I love how Google continues to "socialize" SERP pages and it also changes the game in regards to being on Google Page One.

All around the country people are making plans for their holiday celebration. Seems at times that our sales people are distracted, many think they can not compete with the man in the red suit. Not True! In over thirty years in the automobile business, I was once one of those who relaxed in the holiday season. In 1994 while trying to work this new tool called "the internet" I discovered there was business out there. I just had to place my…

As this months topic fits right in with what I do... I am delivering a paragraph or two.

Do you have a BDC or are you still using an internet department? If your using a BDC you are certainly headed in the right direction. A seperate internet department, not so much.
