Time to move on and do something about it.

This True car deal is no different than the guy down the street advertising at cost or below. It's no different than when the internet came out and people were worried everyone will come in with the cost of a car. This simply is not the case. One thing will remain the same. The best trained sales force can overcome anything. What's your thoughts?

We are so aggressive with our training. I tell the dealers I want you to make so much money you end up buying the guy's dealership down the street. This plays into our hands if they Use Truecar. I'am against not making money. How ever we must prepare for this until all the down fall takes. Troy nice video my friend.

Great content Fran...  I said the same thing earlier in a video I posted.   Bottom line, it reminded of the days the internet came on the scene and everyone flipped out.   Until they buy every dealership in the country and sell cars too, which they wouldn't want to do at their prices........  we still have the product, the trades, the banking, and the after sales........   Thanks for stirring up the market True Car!!!!

Your welcome Jae. Yest Keith did a good job with the interview. I agree with the united we stand and divided we fall. However I believe how you deliver your message means a lot. Being hateful and mean has it's flaws. I saw a post of FB that was spiteful about Truecar and there were more good comments about Truecar than bad. Don't know if the people knew all the facts or not. I still think this can be taken care of in a respectful way. Thank you for your comment.

Thanks Jae, here's the link to the call:  http://www.dealerelite.net/video/keith-shetterly-s-call-with-scott-....  Sorry for the first three minutes of phone/personnel fumbling; I was allowed to record the call but not to edit it.  If you can't listen, the notes are pretty brief but good.

Fran,

Thanks for posting and opening dialogue.  Folks we need to remember: 'United We Stand - Divided we.....'

My concern has always been the context of the data, how can we modify that so a "True Price can be transmitted"? The Goal here is to move the Standard Deviation (mentioned by Mr. Painter) more to the "right" and personally further to the "Right" while steepening the curve, so we can provide and afford to provide added value.

For those who haven't had the opportunity to listen to Keith Shetterly's interview with Mr. Painter, you should. The battle here seems to be "Textbook" vs. "Reality" , we can all agree to disagree, however it is not productive to do so.  Transparency seems to be a one way street according to Mr. Painter, just my opinion. Before the glass gets below half-empty, lets fill it back up and stand full on a united front.

Great Selling and Servicing!!

Mr King that certainly is an interesting and an excellent thought. My blog was not if I agree with Truecar or not. It was what can we do to sell cars if faced with this. Your comment is the how too I and others are looking for.  Great point.
