WELCOME TO MOTIVATION STATION -- A PLACE TO HELP GET YOU GOING

Beginning Today

~ unknown

Beginning today I will open my mind and my heart

Beginning today I will look in the mirror and

I will see a person worthy

of my respect and admiration.

This capable person looking back at me is someone

I enjoy spending time with and

someone I would like to get to know better.

Beginning today I will cherish each moment of my life.

I value this gift bestowed upon me in this world and

I will unselfishly share this gift with others.

I will use this gift to enhance the lives of others.

Beginning today I will take a moment to step off the beaten path and

to revel in the mysteries I encounter.

I will face challenges with courage and determination.

I will overcome what barriers there may be which hinder my quest

for growth and self-improvement.

Beginning today I will take life one day at a time, one step at a time.

Discouragement will not be allowed to taint my positive self-image,

my desire to succeed or my capacity to love.

Beginning today I walk with renewed faith in human kindness.

Regardless of what has gone before, I believe there is hope

for a brighter and better future.

Beginning today I will open my mind and my heart.

I will welcome new experiences.

I will meet new people.

I will not expect perfection from myself nor anyone else:

perfection does not exist in an imperfect world.

But I will applaud the attempt to overcome human foibles.

Beginning today I am responsible for my own happiness and

I will do things that make me happy . . .

admire the beautiful wonders of nature,

listen to my favorite music,

pet a kitten or a puppy,

soak in a bubble bath . . .

pleasure can be found in the most simple of gestures.

Beginning today I will learn something new;

I will try something different;

I will savor all the various flavors life has to offer.

I will change what I can and the rest I will let go.

I will strive to become the best me I can possibly be.

Hey Jack, "Think big and don't listen to people who tell you it can't be done..."

This reminds me of the FedEx story...told by his professor that his idea would never work...HA! The story is quite fitting of your "I CAN" piece too. I luv the Motivation Station! Sometimes it seems that the perfect piece lands at my inbox on the perfect day!

"Make a gift of your life and lift all mankind by being
kind, considerate, forgiving, and compassionate at all times,
in all places, and under all conditions, with everyone as
well as yourself. This is the greatest gift anyone can give."

I CAN?

Whatever your mind can conceive and believe, it will achieve.

Dream great dreams and make them come true.
Do it now!

You are unique. In all the history of the world there was never anyone else exactly like you, and in all the infinity to come there will never be another you.

Never affirm self-limitations.

What you believe yourself to be, you are.

To accomplish great things, you must not only act, but also dream;
not only plan, but also believe.

If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost –
put foundations under them.

Yes you can.

Believing is magic, you can always better your best.

You don’t know what you can do until you try.

Nothing will come of nothing.

If you don’t go out on a limb, you're never going to get the fruit.

There is no failure except in no longer trying.

Hazy goals produce hazy results.
Clearly define your goals. Write them down, make a plan for achieving them, set a deadline, visualize the results and go after them.

Just don’t look back unless you want to go that way.

Defeat may test you; it need not stop you.

If at first you don’t succeed, try another way.

For every obstacle there is a solution.

Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence.
The greatest mistake is giving up.

Wishing will not bring success, but planning, persistence and burning desire will.

There is a gold mine within you from which you can extract
all the necessary ingredients.

Success is an attitude. Get yours right.

It is astonishing how short a time it takes for very wonderful things to happen.

I CAN!

Cathy, Thank you very much. I believe that people's faces light up when they smile. This is a major issue with me as upon entering a dealership maybe, 5 out of 100 times you are greeted with a sincere welcoming smile. This is a sad statistic as what does it take to smile and offer a sincere welcome to a prospective customer.

It is a fact that when a prospective customer enters a car dealership their blood pressure rises, while this is not helpful in developing a trusting relationship; I believe it is the sales person's first responsibility to smile, welcome them and make them feel at home and comfortable. This is the first step in developing trust.

Keep up the great work with WCIDTMYS! It is awesome!

Fred, your "10% what you make it & 90% how you take it" is a favourite of mine. So simple and true!

And I truly appreciate your comments about the 100/0 principal. I have officially adopted the new acronym WCIDTMYS, compliments of you...and by the way, your comments made me smile!
