WELCOME TO MOTIVATION STATION -- A PLACE TO HELP GET YOU GOING

Beginning Today

~ unknown

Beginning today I will open my mind and my heart

Beginning today I will look in the mirror and

I will see a person worthy

of my respect and admiration.

This capable person looking back at me is someone

I enjoy spending time with and

someone I would like to get to know better.

Beginning today I will cherish each moment of my life.

I value this gift bestowed upon me in this world and

I will unselfishly share this gift with others.

I will use this gift to enhance the lives of others.

Beginning today I will take a moment to step off the beaten path and

to revel in the mysteries I encounter.

I will face challenges with courage and determination.

I will overcome what barriers there may be which hinder my quest

for growth and self-improvement.

Beginning today I will take life one day at a time, one step at a time.

Discouragement will not be allowed to taint my positive self-image,

my desire to succeed or my capacity to love.

Beginning today I walk with renewed faith in human kindness.

Regardless of what has gone before, I believe there is hope

for a brighter and better future.

Beginning today I will open my mind and my heart.

I will welcome new experiences.

I will meet new people.

I will not expect perfection from myself nor anyone else:

perfection does not exist in an imperfect world.

But I will applaud the attempt to overcome human foibles.

Beginning today I am responsible for my own happiness and

I will do things that make me happy . . .

admire the beautiful wonders of nature,

listen to my favorite music,

pet a kitten or a puppy,

soak in a bubble bath . . .

pleasure can be found in the most simple of gestures.

Beginning today I will learn something new;

I will try something different;

I will savor all the various flavors life has to offer.

I will change what I can and the rest I will let go.

I will strive to become the best me I can possibly be.

Dare to Believe!
~ Unknown

EVERYBODY KNOWS ...

You can't be all things to all people.
You can't do all things at once.
You can't do all things equally well.
You can't do all things better than everyone else.
Your humanity is showing just like everyone else's.

SO ...

You have to find out who you are, and be that.
You have to decide what comes first, and do that.
You have to discover your strengths, and use them.
You have to learn not to compete with others,
because no one else is in the contest of "being you."

THEN ...

You will have learned to accept your own uniqueness.
You will have learned to set priorities and make decisions.
You will have learned to live with your limitations.
You will have learned to give yourself the respect that is due,
and you'll be a most vital mortal.

DARE TO BELIEVE ...

That you are a wonderful, unique person.
That you are an once-in-all-history event.
That it's more than a right, it's your duty, to be who you are.
That life is not a problem to solve, but a gift to cherish.
And you'll be able to stay one up on what used to get you down.

"Pretend that every single person you meet has a sign around his or her neck that says, "Make me feel important." Not only will you succeed in sales, you will succeed in life."

Purpose is the engine that powers our lives. If we keep our mind focused on our purpose and the desired result, we can move through routines, details, delays, and around or over any obstacles in our path. Specific, written goals, both for our professional and personal lives, are the tools that make success achievable. Most of us are good at setting professional goals, but often we leave our personal lives to the luck of the draw

"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming -- WOO HOO-- What a Ride!" :-)
