Facebook Commercial Solution?

Yes, I believe so.  Social Outbreak.

For years I have studied, practiced and looked for anything that gave my dealers an edge with digital marketing.  Success has always been a tough job.  There are so many lead collection services that compete with my dealer clients in the pay per click format that I had to become a Google Certified Partner to…

Huge News Fall Out and the Boy Who Cried Wolf

Before class started on one peaceful Saturday morning, my yoga instructor made this big announcement with much fanfare that there was some huge event coming to our studio.  There were no additional details as to what the event was, when it might occur, etc.  Just a stay tuned teaser.  I was so excited that I could barely focus during class wondering what this event was, when it was going to occur and…

Automate Your Craigslist Posts

Posting your new and used inventory on Craigslist is time consuming and downright rough if you’re listing cars one by one. We’ve heard some horror stories from our friends at car dealerships where they spend a whole day posting cars to Craigslist only to get them flagged and removed. On top of that, Craigslist ads expire after 7 days and…

Empowerment beyond "Just Because" or "Because I Told You So"

When I was a child, I was the question asking machine.  Now that I am an adult, I am the question asking machine.  Not because I want to be annoying.  I really want to understand why.  Knowing the why helps me deliver on the expectations.  Knowing the why gives me the follow through to see an opportunity to completion.  Understanding why gives me access to understand the process and how each…

Should you mention GOD in your morning meetings or training classes?

I work with a dealer that has a prayer request in the middle of the show room every morning. The GM says we would have nothing if it wasn't for GOD and we thank him every day. Another dealer I work with gives 33% of his profits away to the needy. With respect to all the different religions, is this a good idea to talk about GOD in a training class or morning meetings?

Create the Motivation!!!

Leaders lead. What does this mean? Do leaders lead or do they have LEAD and become the anchor? This is a serious unanswered phenom, in the car industry. Have you ever seen the series called Hogan’s Heroes?  The series was basically aimed to show a lack of intelligence on the German side during the World War II era. This was very funny…

Google Changes The Search Game Again

For those of you who know me, you know how I love to keep an eye on others industries in hopes of bringing great technology and insight to the auto industry. That being said, I was doing some searches this morning as I was working on a new SEO strategy for the Fixed Ops side of the business for Dealer e Process and dealer websites, when I discovered something new AGAIN.

Above the Place Page Listings, there is now Related Searches broken down by Brands, Stores,…

Knowledge is Not Power

I want to take a look at a myth that has been a mainstream statement for years – the idea that knowledge is power. I find as I visit stores and conduct workshops across the country, I meet a lot of “know it all” salespeople or worse yet, negative salespeople who want the customer to take all of the responsibility for not buying a car. I also want to reach out to the people that sit in training nodding their head in agreement or taking a ton of notes, only to leave behind the concepts they… Continue

If You Do It All - Nothing Gets Done

Whether you're on the road like I am, or working in a showroom, you have to produce.  At the end of the month, the results fall squarely on your shoulders.  But, if you believe that you have to do it all in order to reach those goals, you'll never get there.  Clawing your way to the top is never very effective.  But, being carried to the top is not only a better way to travel, it's a faster means to an…
