Jim Ziglar recently posted the question - How many Vendors is YOUR DEALERSHIP Paying who are Selling your Customer Data to Other Vendors for Cash?
I'd like to comment as a credit report and compliance vendor with access to complete credit data of every applicant that our customers obtain once a credit app is taken and one or more bureaus are accessed thru our application.
The unfortunate part is that this IS happening in an industry that has been hammered over and over again…

I am sure many of you will have heard the saying “If you love something, set it free. If it comes back, it’s meant to be.” While this may be good advice for relationships, it’s certainly not good advice for business. A recent whitepaper examined how many companies focus too much on share-of-market and the resulting damage. Market share has always been the leading measurement of success. I was watching football Sunday and I got to thinking about the job of a receiver. I decided a receiver has three jobs:
1. Catch the ball
Nothing positive can happen until the receiver completes the catch.
2. Try to make additional yardage after the catch
For football fans, this is…

This weekend I had the honor of attending the local elementary school basketball tournament. Though my daughter plays for Johnson Elementary School Eagles, it was nice to see pure competitiveness and sportsmanship at its core. We live in an age where College Sports, Professional Sports and even some High School teams can take a page out of the book…

How is your business using HD Video?
If you’re not sure what I mean, or know what I mean but are not utilizing the power of HD video on your social media and website, consider the following:
Ekaterina Walter, social innovator at Intel, predicted that “2013 will be the year of visual marketing”. Walter went on to say that “…visuals and video done right are highly effective in cutting through the noise.”
The video below is a video my team completed for All Star Automotive…

Have y'all seen this article in Automotive News?
The $1.5 BILLION valuation just astounds me. Would TrueCar going public bring more transparency to their business model and/or validate their "change of heart"?
"TrueCar said to consider IPO for next year"
"NEW YORK…

What kryptonite is to Superman is what “I’m not buying today,” is to a salesperson, debilitating. If you want to decapitate the high hopes of a salesperson, just whisper those four words and watch him fall faster than Michael Spinks did when he fought “Iron” Mike Tyson (91 seconds by the way).
A customer may be shouting that they aren’t buying today,…
