Fuel cell cars have the potential to reduce the demand for foreign oil and lower the harmful effects it has on our climate. Fuel cell cars run on hydrogen rather than gas and their exhaust doesn’t put out any harmful fumes, just water and heat. A lot of challenges will have to be overcome before these vehicles can compete with hybrids technology and regular gasoline…

Ford has opened their ordering books on its first ever electric car.
The Focus Electric is priced at $39,995, the same as the Chevrolet Volt plug in hybrid and $3,945 more than its closest competitor, the Nissan Leaf. All three cars are eligible for a $7,500 federal tax credit and various state incentives available towards purchase of an electric car.
The Focus range has not yet been revealed. Ford has previously said that it would be competitive with the…

He who gets 10 men to do the work of one gets 10 times the return. J P Getty said I would rather have 1% of 100 men's effort than 100% of my own. Jesus started with 12 men and look how big that got. There is nothing better to be successful than prospecting and word of mouth. You agree?

Regularly Updated Content Ranks Better, According to Google
Google recently announced a new update to their search engine algorithm that puts a greater emphasis on recently published, fresh content. "This change...promotes fresher results...so that we provide users the most relevant answers to their queries," according to a Google spokesperson.
Regularly updated content has always been a positive ranking factor in SEO, but this announcement from Google makes it that much more important.
So how can your dealership use…

For the amount of time spent and effort wasted on finding the magical 3rd party lead provider, the one that nobody has, the one that converts high, the one that is free of charge and the one who will give you ALL exclusivity– have you forgotten about your current customers? A "twenty something" couple came into the dealership on Tuesday. Great kids...I follwed the steps of the sale and landed her on the perfect car. We negociated and came to an agreement. My finance manager was off that day, so the desk manager ran the credit and decided that my customer needed a cosigner and sent them packing! I thought about it all night long. On Wednesday, I went to the desk manager and asked him if I could have a look at the deal jacket. He said, "Did you get the…

It was 1966. A group of West Point cadets was taking a PE class, volleying tennis balls on the courts in the south east corner of The Plain, opposite the old stone library. A skinny, black second

Customer Partnerships Create a Better Future For Both Parties
Hi again,
I wanted to post another article, in regards to the partnerships we develop. Paul Long wrote this a while ago, and I wanted to get the opinions of the community.
Ok, we admit, the subject line is a bit high-minded. And that's not a bit surprising considering the source of it is Dr. Emmett Murphy, New York Times best-selling author of
"…

I had a customer yesterday that was very hot for a 2011 Prius V. I demoed them, test drove and wrote them up. All was settled until we got to the value of thier trade. He had an 2001 Crown Vic with 98000 miles on it...could not get over the objection of HIS opinion and value of his trade. I tried everything. Talked about the 11's being gone by the time he came back and having to pay MSRP for the 12's..etc. Finally my manager kicked me off and sent in the "big guns" salesmen and HE…

Even trainers have days when the message is not about how to sell a car or increase gross. There are plenty of things much more important than that. While the passion for training is what drives my colleagues as well as myself, today is different. Monday morning I will be in a dealership helping hire and train, but today is a day to step back and acknowledge those who contribute so much more.
As a veteran who served as Viet Nam was winding down, I am so much happier at the respect…

How Far Is Your Dealership Behind Your Competitors?
I visited a client at their dealership this past week. After my full day review which included time to meet and train their staff, I was asked by the Dealer Principal: "Just How Far Behind Are We?".
This is actually a common question that I get asked…

Why Should an Organization Train, Rinse and Repeat?
Military, Law Enforcement, Medical Professionals, Teachers…what do these occupations have in common? Each provides a highly valued service to our local and global community at large and does so as a result of education and extensive on-going training. As a result, society can depend on these individuals to protect humanity, face danger, save lives, educate our youth, improve health and welfare and do…

Why you don’t need a website provider
Some people have heard me say this in the past
“It’s not your website provider’s job to give you a working website. It’s their job to give you a functional one; it’s your job to make it work”
What does that mean…REALLY?
• It’s Your Job – to know what keywords to rank for
• It’s Your Job – to create good…
