Persistence Overcomes Resistance

How many times do we all get behind, lose our focus, and perhaps not reach our goals?  BUT, how many times do we just quit or give up?  The biggest reason for any success,or failure, is either persisting to continuing to fight and achieve your goal, or completely giving up.

Most of the "overnight" success stories we hear about actually took years of hard work and rejection to accomplish a goal, many people went through hell and back while working toward the goal..... BUT…

Daily Dealer Engagement Tips – 10/1/2012

Engagement is everything! If your online community is not engaging you, they aren’t seeing your message. I went into a lot more detail in a recent blog post that I wrote entitled “Car Dealers Are Not the Kardashians”.

One note before I begin, having a lot of Facebook likes is great but having quality LOCAL likes is so much more important. A lot of what I will talk…

Update Your Dealership’s Address and Location Online Frequently

Yesterday I was on my way to a meeting at a dealership.  I had left the home office earlier so I can be at the meeting earlier especially since it was an 80 mile ride.  I was within three miles of the dealership and thirty minutes early.  I had never been there before I relied on my GPS as I always do.  The GPS that I use comes from my iPhone and the software is less than a week old as I just updated the operating system.

The GPS was pulling in an address from…

Accountability....It's All About YOU!

Accountability...It is more than a fancy six syllable word. The business dictionary defines accountability as "The obligation of an individual or organization to account for its activities, accept responsibility for them, and to disclose the results in a transparent manner." Accountability is not a new tool; it is not constricted to the…

Car Dealers are not the Kardashian’s

The paparazzo isn’t hiding in your bushes trying to get a picture of you. Media sources aren’t following you on vacation to capture a picture of you in a bathing suit. No need for security when you leave the building. If there is, you have bigger problems!

People don’t have the same passion level for your dealership that they do for their favorite TV stars or sports…

Why Choose Internet Sales 20 Group over Digital Dealer 13 On October 23-25, 2012

October 23-25, 2012 dealers have a choice of attending Internet Sales 20 Group in Chicago or Digital Dealer 13 in Las Vegas.

When looking at the two events on October 23-25, 2012 dealers have made demands about wanting to avoid "timeshare" sales pitches and to build a network with other dealers.  They got tired of going to massive conferences with…

Don't Post the Exact Same Content at the Exact Same Time with Other Dealers

I was chatting with a social media marketing buddy of mine in Dallas earlier today when he told me a funny story. He knows that I'm in the automotive industry and he found it humorous that two dealers in his area shared the same image onto their Facebook pages at the exact same time. He followed both as he follows many local businesses and checked to see who posted it first and who reshared it.

To his surprise, it…

KPA Offers 7 Scholarships to Attend the Internet Sales 20 Group

Internet Sales 20 Group

We don’t promote conferences very often. Those who have seen KPA at conferences know that we attend nearly all of them, speak at most, and engage with dealers as our primary reason for going. These things make promotion of the events challenging as we know that we’re getting a benefit from them so it’s almost like “double dipping” when we promote them as well.

Every…

New Search Engine For U.S. Government

Everyone wants a more powerful search engine, and that includes the United States Government. As anyone who watched School House Rock knows, our law-making system can be fairly convoluted. That’s why this week the U.S. government is rolling out a new search engine to help the politically minded population research legislation being discussed in the House and…
