New Focused Driving Safety Center Opened

A recent study completed by the Bureau of Labor Statistics has found that the leading cause in occupational fatalities is vehicle accidents. Between 2003 and 2011, 17,000 fatalities have been reported, which results in 35% of all work place fatalities. NIOSH is opening a new driving safety center with the goal of reducing work-related motor vehicle crashes and injuries. NIOSH hopes to join the Department of Transportation and OSHA in their effort.

Car Dealership Sued for Disability Discrimination and Harassment

A Lubbock, TX dealership has been sued by the EEOC for allegedly denying a General Manager a partnership due to his multiple sclerosis.
